Mycopunk Bunker Guide: Which Bunker, and How to Open It

“The bunker” in Mycopunk can mean three different secrets: the Gravity Farms facility opened by three hidden switches, which leads to the Globbler; the locked bunker points of interest added in version 1.9, where players find a red keycard; and the access-card building in Flourishing Desert where that card is used. Identify which one you are facing first, because one walkthrough does not solve all three.

Three secrets that all get called “the bunker”

Players use the word bunker for several different places, which is why bunker guides often seem to contradict each other. The original bunker is a facility at Gravity Farms tied to the Globbler secret weapon. Version 1.9 later added locked bunkers as procedural points of interest in uncharted levels.

A third location, an access-card building in Flourishing Desert, is part of the same story because the red keycard found in locked bunkers is used there. Each of these has a different way in and a different reward. Before following any walkthrough, work out which one you are dealing with.

  • At Gravity Farms with switches to find? That is the original Globbler bunker.
  • A locked structure in an uncharted level? That is a 1.9 locked bunker POI.
  • A building in Flourishing Desert that wants a card? That is the access-card building.

The Gravity Farms bunker (Globbler route)

The original bunker is found at Gravity Farms. Players discovered in July 2025 that three concealed switches around the area open it. Once all three are activated, you can enter the facility and collect a Scorched Transponder.

That transponder unlocks a follow-up mission, and completing it rewards the Globbler blueprint. The Globbler is an acid grenade launcher and one of Mycopunk's secret weapons. Our hidden weapons guide puts it alongside the Carver chainsaw.

One common misunderstanding is worth clearing up. The lights at the Gravity Farms facility are not a sign that you need to farm a red access card there; the red keycard belongs to the newer locked bunkers.

Finding the three Gravity Farms switches

Redu3's Globbler guide is the clearest visual reference for this bunker. Its chapters mark the facility at 00:12, the three switches at 00:31, 01:10 and 01:24, and the transponder at 02:07. You can jump straight to the switch you are missing.

SlideDrum's separate Globbler video covers the same secret from another creator's perspective. Between the two videos and the Steam discovery thread, the switch-and-transponder sequence is well corroborated.

In co-op, splitting up to look for the switches speeds things up. Version 1.9 added built-in voice chat without needing Discord, so calling out a found switch is easy.

Locked bunker POIs added in version 1.9

The Enemy Update on June 25, 2026 added locked bunkers to uncharted levels. These are procedural points of interest, not a new name for the original Gravity Farms secret. Because they are procedural, there are no universal coordinates that work every time.

Players describe different entry puzzles near these bunkers, and inside they report finding a red keycard. Treat the puzzle at the bunker and the later use of the card as two separate steps. Our red key card guide explains where players found the card and where it goes.

These bunkers are optional. If you do not see one in a level, it simply did not appear in that layout.

The access-card building in Flourishing Desert

The red keycard from a locked bunker is used at an access-card building in Flourishing Desert. Player reports describe taking the card there and using a computer terminal inside. Afterwards, a new mission becomes available back at the HUB.

This makes the desert building the second half of the locked-bunker secret, not a separate puzzle. Exact costs and whether the card persists between sessions were not independently established, so we do not state them.

Invisible walls and the 1.9.4 fix

Shortly after locked bunkers arrived, some players reported strange invisible walls around them. Patch 1.9.4 explains why: locked-bunker terrain was being carved only for the host. Other players in the lobby could see or collide with terrain that should have been removed.

That bug has been fixed, so an old invisible-wall report is not part of the intended puzzle. If you still see odd behaviour, make sure everyone in the lobby is on the latest version before assuming a hidden mechanic.

Which bunker should you tackle first?

If you are new to Mycopunk's secrets, start with the Gravity Farms bunker. It sits on an authored map, the switch locations are documented with video timestamps, and it ends with a secret weapon. That makes it the most predictable of the three.

The locked bunker POIs are better as a second project. Because they are procedural, finding one depends partly on which uncharted levels you play. Once you have a red keycard, the desert building is the natural next stop.

  • Gravity Farms bunker: Scorched Transponder, then a mission rewarding the Globbler blueprint.
  • Locked bunker POI: the red keycard, according to player reports.
  • Desert access-card building: using the terminal unlocks a new mission at the HUB.

Common bunker mistakes

The most common mistake is following a guide for the wrong bunker. Most 2025 videos show the Gravity Farms facility, because locked bunkers did not exist until June 2026. If a video never mentions a keycard, it is probably the Globbler route.

Another mistake is treating the locked bunker puzzle and the desert building as one location. They are separate steps in the same chain: the card is collected in one place and used in another. Keep that order in mind and the route becomes much easier to follow.

General tips for bunker hunting

Start every bunker search by identifying the type, then use the matching guide. Mixing up the Gravity Farms bunker and the newer locked bunkers is the most common reason players get stuck. Old videos almost always refer to the Gravity Farms facility, because the locked POIs did not exist until 2026.

For procedural bunkers, explore uncharted levels thoroughly rather than looking for a fixed position. For the Gravity Farms bunker, use the authored map and the switch timestamps. In both cases, a crew covering different directions helps a lot.

What we have not verified

No recent English video specifically demonstrating the 2026 procedural keycard bunker was found. A clip titled “Bunker Demonstration” was excluded because its description did not establish a navigation walkthrough. We also do not publish universal coordinates for procedural POIs.

If you capture a clear current-version route through a locked bunker, we would be glad to use it to improve this page. The 1.0 release on October 20, 2026 may add more secrets; we will update this guide when they are corroborated.
