Mycopunk Hidden Weapons: Carver and Globbler Unlock Routes

Two Mycopunk hidden weapons have well-documented secret unlock routes: the Carver chainsaw and the Globbler. The Carver comes from the Broken Frame, which you complete by collecting weapon modules across several maps. The Globbler starts with three hidden switches at Gravity Farms, which open a facility holding a Scorched Transponder; that item unlocks a mission rewarding the Globbler blueprint.

How hidden weapons differ from normal unlocks

Most Mycopunk weapons are unlocked through the normal progression system. Since version 1.9, The Enemy Update, ordinary weapon acquisition uses Armament Licenses. Hidden weapons are different: they are earned by finding and completing secrets in the world.

This split is not new. The official 1.3.3 patch notes changed how normal weapons unlock while stating that secret weapons kept their separate unlock method. So when you read about a hidden weapon, do not expect to find it in the regular license list.

The two secret weapons below are the ones with routes corroborated by more than one independent source. They are verified examples, not a complete list of every secret in the 1.0 release.

The Carver chainsaw: the Broken Frame route

The Carver is a chainsaw weapon, and it is assembled rather than simply picked up. You obtain a Broken Frame and complete it by collecting weapon modules from several locations. An illustrated Russian Steam guide, updated in May 2026, records this multi-region module chain step by step.

In outline, the route starts with server access through a Panels route in Titan City. That access lets you reach the server room in the HUB, where one module is found. The remaining modules are spread across Gravity Farms, Flourishing Desert and Moldy Tundra, and once you have them all you assemble the frame.

Our dedicated chainsaw guide walks through each module and the landmarks players use to find them. Version 1.9 also made Broken Frame modules impossible to scrap, so you do not need to worry about losing them by accident.

The Globbler: the Gravity Farms secret

The Globbler is an acid grenade launcher, and its route begins at Gravity Farms. Players discovered three concealed switches there shortly after Early Access launched in July 2025. Activating all three opens a facility, often called the Gravity Farms bunker.

Inside the opened facility you obtain a Scorched Transponder. That item unlocks a follow-up mission, and completing that mission rewards the Globbler blueprint. The Steam discovery thread, a video guide by Redu3 and a separate video by SlideDrum all describe the same sequence.

Redu3's guide is especially handy because its chapters mark the facility, each switch and the transponder. Our bunker guide explains this facility in more detail and separates it from other bunker secrets.

Step-by-step summary of both routes

Use these outlines to keep track of your progress. Each step is described in more detail in the linked guides.

  • Carver: gain server access through Titan City's Panels route.
  • Carver: enter the HUB server room and collect that module.
  • Carver: collect the modules in Gravity Farms, Flourishing Desert and Moldy Tundra.
  • Carver: assemble the Broken Frame to complete the chainsaw.
  • Globbler: find and activate the three hidden switches at Gravity Farms.
  • Globbler: enter the opened facility and take the Scorched Transponder.
  • Globbler: complete the mission it unlocks to earn the blueprint.

Authored maps vs procedural terrain

Many secret directions were written for fixed, authored map layouts. Mycopunk has added procedural elements since launch, including locked bunker points of interest in uncharted levels. Directions such as “turn left at the large rock” only work on the fixed layouts they were written for.

Players in the chainsaw guide comments make the same distinction between permanent and procedural layouts. If an old landmark seems to be missing, check whether you are on the authored version of the map before assuming the secret has moved.

This matters most for the Carver modules, which are spread across several regions. Take your time on each map and use the landmarks in the dedicated guides rather than coordinates.

Are there more hidden weapons?

Possibly, but a definitive post-1.0 hidden weapon count has not been established. The 1.0 release on October 20, 2026 adds new content, and the developer has not published a list of secrets. Any page claiming an exact total should be treated with caution until players have explored the released game.

We will add new entries here only when a route is corroborated by independent sources. That keeps this page useful as a checklist instead of a list of rumours.

Using your new weapons

Secret weapons still need a sensible build. The Carver has had its own balance history; update 1.0.5 corrected Carver upgrade names and changed Blood Bucket and Blood Coating behaviour, so launch-era setups are not safe templates. Read current tooltips before copying a chainsaw build from an old video.

For general advice on fitting a weapon into your loadout, see the build guide. If you are interested in the newer Oxythane weapon instead, the Accelerator overview covers its unlock context.

Common mistakes when hunting hidden weapons

The most frequent mistake is mixing up the different secrets. The Gravity Farms switch bunker leads to the Globbler, while the red key card belongs to the newer locked bunkers added in 1.9. Following a red keycard guide at Gravity Farms, or the other way round, will not get you anywhere.

Another mistake is looking for secret weapons in the ordinary unlock screens. Normal weapons use Armament Licenses since 1.9, but the Carver and Globbler are earned through their own secret routes. If a weapon is missing from your license options, that does not mean it was removed from the game.

Finally, be wary of single-source claims about new secrets after the 1.0 release. Wait for a route to be confirmed by more than one player before spending hours on it.

Co-op tips for secret hunting

Secret routes are easier with a crew, because several players can search a map at once. Splitting up to look for switches or modules saves time, as long as everyone knows what they are looking for. Share this page or the dedicated guides with your crew before you deploy.

Version 1.9 added built-in voice chat that does not need a Discord account, which makes calling out a found switch or module much quicker. Patch 1.9.4 also fixed locked-bunker terrain being carved only for the host, so recent versions behave more consistently for every player in the lobby.
