When does Mycopunk come out on PS5?
The official PlayStation game page schedules Mycopunk for October 20, 2026. It gives a release time of 17:00 UTC, which is 10:00 AM PDT. This is the same day the game leaves Early Access on PC with its 1.0 release.
Several official sources agree on the date. PlayStation's own release-date trailer, Devolver Digital's 1.0 trailer and the official Japanese press release from September 2026 all name October 20 for PC and PS5.
The time shown on the PlayStation listing applies to the PS5 version. It does not, on its own, confirm the exact time the Steam update goes live. This page was written on October 19, before launch, so check the PlayStation Store for the final status.
PS5 release time in your time zone
The PlayStation listing gives one global time: 17:00 UTC on October 20, 2026. Converted, that is 10:00 AM PDT and 1:00 PM EDT in North America, 6:00 PM BST in the UK and 7:00 PM CEST in central Europe. In Japan it is 2:00 AM JST on October 21.
These conversions are simple arithmetic from the official UTC time. Store pages can display times in your local zone, so if your PlayStation Store shows something different, trust the store for your region.
What the PS5 version includes
The PS5 release arrives alongside the 1.0 update, so console players start with the full release rather than Early Access. Sony's listing describes Mycopunk as a cooperative shooter that can be played solo or online with up to three other players. DualSense vibration is also listed.
The official trailers present the same co-op shooter positioning but do not include performance benchmarks. We have not verified a performance mode, PS5 Pro enhancements, split-screen or cross-save, so those features are not listed here.
Online co-op and PlayStation Plus
Sony's listing says PlayStation Plus is required for online play on PS5. That means every player in an online crew needs an active PS Plus membership. Solo play does not need online access. A friend on PS Plus Essential can still join an online crew once they own the game, because Essential includes online multiplayer even though it does not include the catalog copy.
This requirement is separate from the PS Plus catalog. Owning the game, or accessing it through the catalog, does not remove the need for a membership when playing online. Keep the two ideas apart when planning a crew.

Can PS5 players join PC players?
Crossplay between PS5 and Steam had not been confirmed in the official material checked on October 19, 2026. Both platforms are launching together, and both support four-player co-op, but that does not by itself mean the player pools are shared. Absence of a confirmation is not proof that crossplay is impossible either.
Similarly, Steam Cloud saves on PC are not cross-platform progression. We found no confirmation that PC progress transfers to PS5. See our crossplay page for the latest status after launch.
What happened during Early Access on PC
PC players have been playing Mycopunk in Early Access since July 10, 2025. During that time the game received major updates, including Oxythane Breach, which added the Accelerator, the Ouroboros roguelite mode and version 1.9, The Enemy Update. Version 1.9 added in-game voice chat, locked bunker points of interest and Pattern Infusion.
Many existing guides were written during that period and refer to those updates. Knowing the history helps you read older PC guides sensibly, because some details they describe have since changed. Our beginner overview explains which systems to learn first.
We have not yet verified how each of these features appears on PS5. Built-in voice chat, for example, was documented for PC in the 1.9 notes, and PC mods have no verified PS5 equivalent.
Trophies on PS5
A full PS5 trophy list had not been published as of October 19. PC achievement guides exist and describe some tasks, but they cannot confirm the trophy count, platinum or missable trophies on PS5. Our trophy guide collects what is known and will be updated after launch.
Getting ready for launch day
If you plan to play on launch day, decide first how you will get the game: buy it from the PlayStation Store, or use the catalog if you have Extra or Premium. Then check your PS Plus status if you want to play online with friends. Both steps avoid surprises at 17:00 UTC.

If you already own Mycopunk on Steam, we found no confirmation that the PC purchase includes the PS5 version or that progress carries over, so treat them as separate copies unless an official announcement says otherwise.

We do not list PS4, Xbox or Switch release dates, because none were found in official sources. We also do not publish performance modes, trophy totals or crossplay guarantees before they are confirmed. Those details will be added only when official information or direct testing supports them.
