Glider Rocket Build in Mycopunk: Rocket Damage vs Flight Sustain

A Glider rocket build has two separate goals that compete for the same grid space: rocket damage and flight sustain. Player recipes use MIRV and Kernel Rerouter for rocket output, while flight-sustain discussions centre on Attrition Supply. You cannot fit every attractive upgrade at once, and no current universal best arrangement has been verified, so choose which goal leads.

Two goals, one grid

Glider builds are usually discussed as if rockets and flight were one idea, but they are better treated as two. Rocket damage asks for upgrades that multiply or strengthen your missiles. Flight sustain asks for upgrades that keep you in the air longer.

Both sets of upgrades take up grid space, and the grid is limited. A November 2025 player discussion about firing many missiles while flying indefinitely makes exactly this point: you have to trade one goal against the other. Deciding which goal leads is the first step of any Glider rocket build.

Neither choice is wrong. Prioritising one goal simply means giving up some grid space for the other, so pick the one that suits how you like to play and accept the trade.

The rocket-damage core: MIRV and Kernel Rerouter

A historical recipe from the Steam Build Theory Crafting thread, posted in August 2025, centres on rocket output. It pairs MIRV with Kernel Rerouter and Point Detonators, and lists Eye on You as an optional addition. Those names give you a concrete starting point for a damage-led Glider.

Treat this recipe as dated. It was posted before later balance changes and before turbocharging existed, so it should be re-tested rather than copied as a guaranteed current recommendation. Check that each upgrade still exists under the same name and does what its tooltip says.

Eye on You: the Glider exotic

Eye on You is identified in the official 1.1.4 patch notes, titled The Amalgamation's Defeat, as a Glider exotic, and those notes explain its rocket behaviour. That makes it a natural candidate for a rocket-focused Glider. Because it is an exotic, it follows different progression rules from ordinary upgrades.

Oxythane Breach, released on November 3, 2025, introduced turbocharging for Glider exotics. Any build guide or video made before that update does not account for a turbocharged Eye on You. Read the current tooltip in game before relying on old names or numbers.

If you do not have Eye on You yet, the rest of the rocket core still gives you a starting point. Build the non-exotic pieces first and slot the exotic in later; that also shows you how much it adds to your particular setup.

Flight sustain: Attrition Supply

On the sustain side, the November 2025 Reddit discussion points to Attrition Supply as the upgrade players use to keep the Glider flying. The same discussion separates it from MIRV-style rocket output, which is why the two goals compete. Spelling and exact behaviour should be checked in your current version.

Be careful with the phrase “infinite flight.” The available evidence does not prove an unconditional loop that keeps you airborne forever. It may depend on combat, on your upgrades and on whether you play solo or with a team, so do not expect it to work outside fights.

Learning from showcase videos

Phemeto's Infinity Glider Build Showcase, published in August 2025, is a useful visual reference. Its description calls it an infinite-flight showcase, names weapon pairings and anticipates balance changes. Watching it helps you understand how a sustain-led Glider plays.

CarsonSnorlax's October 2025 employee builds video also has a Glider chapter starting at 20:25. Use it as a candidate grid to re-test, not as a current ranking, since boosting and Pattern Infusion arrived later. Both videos are snapshots of their versions.

Building your own Glider rocket loadout

Start by choosing your lead goal, then place its core upgrades first. For a damage-led build that means your rocket-output pieces; for a sustain-led build it means your flight upgrades. Fill the remaining space with whatever covers your biggest weakness, such as ammunition or survivability.

Then test in real missions and adjust one upgrade at a time. Changing several pieces at once makes it impossible to tell which change helped. Our general build guide explains how to record results so you can compare versions fairly.

  • Damage-led: MIRV, Kernel Rerouter and Point Detonators as the core, Eye on You if available.
  • Sustain-led: Attrition Supply as the core, with rocket pieces added only where space allows.
  • Always: confirm current names, grid shapes, rolls and turbocharge state in game.

Boosting and refining the build

Once your core pieces are in place, progression tools can push the build further. Since update 1.7.2, resources can boost non-exotic upgrades such as your rocket and flight pieces. Exotics like Eye on You use turbocharging instead.

Pattern Infusion, added in version 1.9, unlocks with Incursion at player level 13 and uses Antimass Substrate to transfer upgrade patterns. It is a later-game refinement, so get the basic grid working before spending on it. The Yeuco guide explains how to gather resources for boosting.

Solo and team play with a Glider

The research behind this page does not establish identical behaviour for Glider builds in solo and team play. Sustain effects that depend on combat may feel different when teammates take some of the kills or draw enemy attention. Test your build in the mode you play most, rather than assuming a solo showcase transfers to a four-player crew.

In a crew, a damage-led Glider can lean on teammates for protection, while a sustain-led Glider can use its mobility to reposition. Agree with your crew on which role you are filling; the built-in voice chat added in version 1.9 makes that easy without a Discord account.

Common mistakes when copying a Glider build

The most common mistake is copying an old recipe without checking names. Some upgrade names have been corrected in past patches, and a recipe from August 2025 may refer to something that now reads differently. Look up each piece in your current game before building around it.

A second mistake is trying to fit both goals completely. Cramming every rocket and sustain piece together often leaves neither working well, because the grid cannot hold everything. A third is trusting a showcase title such as “infinity” without checking the conditions in which it was recorded.

What this guide does not claim

We do not publish damage multipliers, rocket counts or a best arrangement for the Glider. No current, controlled comparison exists, and older numbers predate turbocharging and later balance changes. We also do not promise identical behaviour in solo and team play.

If you have tested a Glider rocket build in the current version, including after the 1.0 update on October 20, 2026, your notes on version, grid, rolls and results would help us improve this page. For other characters, see the Accelerator build guide.
